Practical matters
Payments.
A non refundable deposit of 100 euro is required for each week booked to secure the booking.*(See cancellation section below for exception)
The balance is due two months before the commencement of the holiday.
Arrival and departure times.
Arrival time is normally from 3.30pm. Departure is normally by 10.30 am.
I try to be as flexible as possible and meet the needs of my guests so
If other guests are not arriving on the day of your departure you are welcome to choose the time you leave.
Likewise if other guests are not departing the cottage on the day of your arrival you can choose to come earlier.
Meet and Greet.
I meet all of my guests myself at the cottage on their arrival. I like to show guests around the cottage and grounds and to tell them whats available in the village. On the very rare occasion that I cannot be there to greet an arriving guest my caretaker will be on hand to give a warm welcome.
What to expect.
The cottage will be fully prepared for your arrival clean and spotless. Beds will have been freshly made up,Towels and tea towels provided.Turf baskets filled for both the open fire and Stove, and fires lit. A welcome tray with a freshly baked apple tart from a local bakery.
Pets.
Well behaved pets are welcome and there is no charge for bringing them. There are however a few reasonable rules.
Only pets that I have been notified of in advance are allowed to stay.
Pets are not allowed on beds or furniture.
They must not be left unattended in the house. Pets get agitated and upset when this occurs.
Owners are expected to dispose of pet waste in the bins provided.
In the vicinity of livestock dogs should be kept on a lead and under control.
Parking.
There is lots of street parking and plenty of room to turn your vehicle comfortably. If you wish you can close the double gates.
Smoking.
James Tymon cottage is a non-smoking property and smoking of any kind is not allowed inside any of the buildings including the cow bire and open sheds,as turf,kindling and timber are stored there.
Cancellation.
I strongly recommend taking out travel insurance to cover the cost of a cancellation. If you have to cancel I will provide any documentation you may require for the insurance company.
If you cancel up to two months before your holiday commences the deposit is forfeit.* see below for exception.
Between payment of the balance and one month before your holiday commences 30% of the total is forfeit.
Between one month and two weeks before your holiday commences 50% of the total is forfeit.
Between two weeks and day of arrival 75% is forfeit.
*I will try and re-let the period cancelled. If I succeed in re-letting it, all of your payment less any discount offered in order to re-let will be returned to you.
